ANTENATAL

LOCAL SUPPORT

Forth Valley, Central Scotland

The Breastfeeding Network (BfN) offer free support and have local projects throughout Forth Valley, they have a Facebook page @forthvalleybreastfeeding and their linktree can be found here BfN Forth Valley | Linktree

  • You can self-refer for phone or video support by messaging their FB page or by emailing forthvalley@breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk, and completing their online form.

  • There is a Walk, Talk and Feed group every Friday at 10:30am Calendar Park, Falkirk.

  • There is a face to face group at Camelon Sensory Centre, every Wednesday at 11am. FB group is called Falkirk Breastfeeding Support.

  • There are face to face group at The Blue House, Tullibody every Thursday at 11am and Alloa Family Centre every Tuesday at 11am. FB group is called Clackmannanshire Breastfeeding Support.

  • There is a face to face group at Mayfield centre, Bannockburn every Friday at 12pm. FB group is called Stirling Breastfeeding Support.

  • They also have pop up groups throughout Forth Valley and groups are coming in Grangemouth and the Raploch, see their page or linktree for up to date details.

 

There is also a Free Association of Breastfeeding Mothers (ABM) face to face group at Polmont Church Hall every Tuesday at 1pm (ran by a ABM BF Counsellor)​ FB group called Polmont area Breastfeeding group.

There is also a Free Maddie's Miracle face to face group at Cowdenhill Community centre, Bo'ness every Wednesday at 10:15am. FB group called is Bo'ness Breastfeeding Support group.

NATIONAL SUPPORT

UK

  • The National Breastfeeding Helpline 0300 100 0212, open from 9:30am-9:30pm everyday of the year. They have a callback service where you can leave a message and online webchat/social media support. Support is also available in Welsh, Polish, Bengali & Sylheti and for people who have hearing or speech impairments. @NBHelpline

  • Maddie's Miracle charity offer 1 to 1 video sessions with a Breastfeeding Counsellor, www.maddiesmiracle.org.uk/our-services/ and @MaddiesMiracle.Bus
